Georgia Tech uses Ellucian’s Banner for its Student Information System (SIS). It offers a stable environment for hosting student information. The Faculty Grade Entry (FGE) module was included with recent upgrades. It fits the Institute's existing technology infrastructure and provides many features that are new and improved over previous grade entry systems.

It is very important that students maintain emergency contact information. Students may list as many emergency contacts as they wish. This information is confidential. Only the Georgia Tech Police Department and the Dean of Students Office have access to this information. It is the student’s responsibility to update the contact information.
A link to the most recent list of department representatives who can request Banner/GTAAD accounts. In most cases, each representative can only request accounts for the people in their campus unit.
Georgia Tech employees who need access to student data in order to perform their job responsibilities must have their unit's official requestor, send a request, on their behalf, to the custodian(s) of that data. If approved for access, the employee and designator will be notified by OIT/EIS via email regarding next steps in the process.
