WHAT IS HAPPENING?

All of Banner Production (i.e.: Banner 9 Administrative Pages, SSB, Job Submission) and ancillary system interfaces (Global ECS interface to Banner, TouchNet, GradesFirst, Canvas, TSquare, Grade Adapter, DegreeWorks, etc.) will  be unavailable on Thursday, March 12th, between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM so that Financial Aid and Georgia Enhancement modules may be applied to the system.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Banner/Oscar Student Information Systems will be unavailable to facilitate financial year end close processing and to facilitate the migration to Workday integration with Banner.

Due to the critical nature of the Workday integration, Banner will be down after close out on Friday (June 28th) until Monday (July 1st) Morning.  Therefore the service will be unavailable to users from Friday, June 28, at 6:00PM to Monday, July 1st at 8:00AM.

 

WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?

What is happening?

All of Banner Production (i.e., INB, Banner 9 Administrative Pages, SSB, Job Submission) and ancillary systems (Global ECS interface to Banner, TouchNet, GradesFirst, Canvas, TSquare, Grade Adapter, etc.) will be unavailable from 5:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019 until approximately 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 while the Student Information System and database are upgraded.

 

When is it happening?

The maintenance begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019.

This guide provides directions on printing the Schedule of Classes (SOC) from Banner.

It may be accessed by faculty and staff only.

What is happening?

All of Banner Production (i.e., INB, Banner 9 Administrative Pages, SSB, Job Submission) and ancillary systems (Global ECS interface to Banner, TouchNet, GradesFirst, Canvas, TSquare, Grade Adapter, etc.) will be unavailable on Thursday (Dec. 6th) from 7:00 PM to approximately 11:00 PM so that operating system patches may be installed on the database server.

 

When is it happening?

The maintenance willoccur between 7:00 PM and approximately 11:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 6th.

 

Readmission Application Unavailable Due to Scheduled Maintenance

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Marketplace uPay Sites and uStores will be unavailable to facilitate financial year end close processing.  Marketplace uPay Sites and uStores will be taken offline on Friday, June 29th, between 1:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.  Also, please do not manually fulfill orders during this downtime.

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

Marketplace uPay Sites and uStores will be back online after 10:00 p.m.  A notice will be sent to the recipients of this announcement once services are restored.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Banner/Oscar Student Information Systems will be unavailable to facilitate financial year end close processing. The service will be unavailable to users Friday, June 29, between 3:00pm and 10:00pm.

WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?
All users of Banner/Oscar as well as Banner Imaging, some BuzzPort/Oscar channel users accessing the Oscar student service, as well as some report users accessing BPROD, will be affected during the service interruption window.

An upgrade is scheduled for the Student Information System, which includes Banner and modules that interface with Banner. Affected modules include, but are not limited to, Degree Works, OSCAR, BuzzPort, and Transcript processing.

When is this happening?

The maintenance will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 and last through approximately 8:00 am on Monday, April 23, 2018.

About the Banner Faculty Grade Entry (FGE) Module

Georgia Tech uses Ellucian’s Banner for its Student Information System (SIS). It offers a stable environment for hosting student information. The Faculty Grade Entry (FGE) module was included with recent upgrades. It fits the Institute's existing technology infrastructure and provides many features that are new and improved over previous grade entry systems.

Updating Emergency Contact Information

It is very important that students maintain emergency contact information. Students may list as many emergency contacts as they wish. This information is confidential. Only the Georgia Tech Police Department and the Dean of Students Office have access to this information. It is the student’s responsibility to update the contact information.

Designated Unit Requesters for Banner/GTAAD Accounts

A link to the most recent list of department representatives who can request Banner/GTAAD accounts. In most cases, each representative can only request accounts for the people in their campus unit.

Georgia Tech employees who need access to student data in order to perform their job responsibilities must have their unit's official requestor, send a request, on their behalf, to the custodian(s) of that data. If approved for access, the employee and designator will be notified by OIT/EIS via email regarding next steps in the process.

Transfer Credit Information

In order to receive transfer credit for a course, you must submit an official transcript to the Transfer Credit Office at the following address:

Within the OSCAR portal, the Transfer Credit Articulation site displays the previously established equivalent courses from the Georgia Tech transfer catalogs.

Students use the OSCAR portal to access the Schedule of Classes and other content in the Student Information System (SIS).
