The Catalog managers in the Registrar's Office have begun the annual 3-month period of editing and reviewing in preparation of the 2017-18 edition of the official Catalog.
From 8:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 until 4:30 pm on Monday, May 1, 2017, designated editors and reviewers throughout the Institute are asked to examine the Catalog's current content, identify any necessary or desired changes, and give input through the Catalog's content management system.
The 2016-17 edition was the first to use the CourseLeaf Catalog™ cloud-based software for publication. Feedback from students, faculty, and staff was very positive. In particular, Catalog users enjoy the updated look-and-feel, streamlined organization, and improved search functions.
Now, the upcoming edition for the 2017-18 academic year will also use CourseLeaf Catalog™ for collaborative editing and multi-step approvals. Designated editors have the opportunity to enter the content management system and directly alter the text of specific pages. Then, the Catalog managers will approve or deny the changes, or they will further edit the text with the CourseLeaf tools that empower easy communication and show full transparency.
